Why Mandates Matter
In traditional finance, your money follows rules. Your savings account won’t be used by the bank to speculate on the stock market (unless you specifically choose to save in an ESS). Why? because the bank has strict mandates, enforced by internal systems and regulations.
Saline brings that same model on-chain. But instead of relying on trusted intermediaries, Saline enforces mandates at the protocol level.
Here’s what that means in practice:
- You can allow only specific assets to be traded
- You can set limits like maximum daily volume or counterparty allow lists
- You can block high-risk behavior, regardless of which agent is acting
The logic follows the asset address or "wallet" and once a mandate is installed, it applies to every interaction — whether it comes from an AI, a user, or a script.
This is how we unlock safe, scalable automation for all agents.
